I think it depends on flexibility. Many of us younger (he says approaching 30) archaeologists have only ever worked in archaeology, therfore considering making do in a different job is a bitter pill to swallow. So i'm loathe to admit my ethics in order to secure a job may become flexible if i'm threatened (though i emphasise never flexible about the standard to whicj I do a job). Watching colleagues around me collect P45s can make you very edgy. CMOT Dibbler (alternative career may involve sausage-inna-bun)
