Rail company 'desecrates' St Pancras cemetery

Most of us use a trowel to excavate a skeleton, some use a plasterers' leaf too, while others favour a spoon bent into interesting shapes to get at the awkward

The Cowgate Fire - Edinburgh.

A shocking image of devastation at part of the Cowgate, Edinburgh that was engulfed in a Fire in December last year. Archaeologists are battling to record as much as they can from the ruins of 13 buildings that date from the 16th - 20th centuries. A whole history is collapsing before our eyes. Further collapses of historic fascades and the need for safe demolition in this World Heritage Site has brought to the fore the use of digital technology in recording .. believe me this is one site that ain't no picnic! - Happy New Year
