Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd would like to recruit a manager to join its Contracting team based in Silsoe, Bedfordshire. Workloads have grown on the back of our reputation for high quality work and, in response to strong demand from both existing and new clients, we are looking to increase our capacity.

The position will involve the running of multiple field/office based teams and the preparation of tenders. We are very clear on the need for business management and you will be expected to take ownership of budgets and monitor their performance at all stages of a project. We are always looking for ways to learn for future projects, improving our collective performance.

THE SORT OF PERSON WE’D LIKE TO EMPLOY WOULD NEED:

++ a desire to learn and develop, underpinned by a good knowledge of British Archaeology and UK planning legislation;

++ a proven track record in leading teams on commercial archaeological investigations;

++ the ability to, manage field and specialist teams and liaise with support staff teams and;

++ an appetite to work closely with clients, building rapport and generating repeat work.
