Historic Environment Officer (Exmoor Mires Partnership)

Up to £23,398 per annum - Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2019
 
Are you looking for an opportunity to protect the historic environment within a nationally important area?
 
Funded by South West Water as part of the Exmoor Mires Partnership, Exmoor National Park Authority are working in partnership with Government agencies and local community representatives on a project to restore peatlands on Exmoor. This in turn improves flood control, water filtration and carbon storage functions.
 
This will be a key post working alongside specialists and contractors to ensure that Exmoor’s historic environment is safeguarded and enhanced through the activities of the project. The postholder will need a degree in archaeology or related subject and experience in British archaeology, preferably in upland environments.
