Due to the continuing success and expansion of the business, EDP is seeking to recruit another enthusiastic and energetic archaeological/heritage consultant to join one of the multi-disciplinary teams at either of our offices in Cardiff and Cirencester.
Established in July 2005; and now recognised as one of the premium environmental planning consultancies in the development sector; EDP services a diverse portfolio of clients and projects from three offices in Cirencester, Cardiff and Shrewsbury; from where c.90 employees provide a range of archaeology & heritage, ecology, landscape, arboriculture and masterplanning services.
You will need to be highly professional and self-motivated, with excellent research skills. In addition you will be able to write to a high standard and deliver projects independently (small ones initially) or as part of a multi-discipline team; completing both on time and on budget. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with other team members and with external bodies as appropriate.
Twelve months or more in a consultancy environment would be desirable, but it is by no means essential, neither is it essential that you have any experience of working with our other disciplines, as this provides some exciting training opportunities. If you have specialist skills in the fields of historic landscape assessment and/or standing building investigation your application would be particularly welcomed. Existing membership of the CIfA at Associate level or above would be an advantage, but a full driving licence and a car insured for business use are essential.
Salary will depend on experience, but will exceed CIfA minima. EDP offers a very generous benefits package which includes 30 days annual leave, flexible working hours, a profit share bonus scheme, Payment of professional fees, private health care, life assurance and free lunch.
Your application should be made via a CV and a covering letter to email@example.com. A job description and person specification can also be requested using the same address.
If you would like to discuss the post (or have any enquiries), please contact Andrew Crutchley on 029 2167 1900. We look forward to hearing from you.
The closing date for applications is 26 May 2017 – please advise whether you have a preference for a specific office, or whether you are flexible.
