John Moore Heritage Services is currently seeking Supervisors, Project Assistants, and Trainees for work initially in East Anglia (immediate positions are available) and then in the Oxfordshire area. Accommodation will be provided for the work. The posts are for nine months with the possibility of extensions.
Supervisor positions: £21,534.00
Applicants must have at least 6 months commercial experience at this level. The successful candidates will be required to undertake fieldwork projects and help with post-excavation work. An ability to carry out digital illustration would be advantageous.
Project Assistant positions: £19,323.80
Applicants should have a minimum of three months commercial archaeological experience.
Trainee posts or apprenticeships are available for those with less experience (salary by discussion and BAJR approved). Training would last for up to 12 weeks as defined in the JMHS Training Scheme.
All applicants must be CSCS carded. For those without such at the moment, advice will be given. A valid Driving Licence with own transport is essential for Supervisor position in Oxfordshire. Preferably applicants will be members of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists. Personal protective clothing will be issued for the duration of employment.
