Archaeological Solutions is an independent commercial organisation based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We undertake a substantial range of field projects throughout East Anglia and have several opportunities for Site Assistants for approx. 3 months.
We are looking for motivated and reliable individuals with a strong work ethic who are also able to cope with the demands of working outdoors. In return, we offer an excellent training programme with a structured method of recording, to the benefit of individuals and their career development. The posts would suit relatively recent archaeological graduates who wish to consolidate their current field experience and acquire a sound knowledge and training in all aspects of field archaeology. Our aim is to offer permanent contracts and career progression within the organisation.
Ideally, applicants would have a minimum of six months commercial archaeological experience, however candidates with less experience will also be considered. (A training scheme is in place )
A full clean driving license and membership of the CIfA are desirable.
A CSCS card is requirement of these posts, and if appointed we can give advice for obtaining a card.
The salary offered is £18246 - £18604 and we are seeking an immediate start.
Contracts include the provision of PPE, annual leave of 29 days (including bank holidays); contributory pension scheme; and accommodation and subsistence payments if working away from Bury St Edmunds.
