Archaeological Team Leaders (Project Officers and Project Supervisors)
Salary range: Team leaders dependent on skills, experience and responsibility
Project Officers should be MCIfA level or equivalent, and will get in the range £27,607 to £30,434 pa
Supervisors should be ACIfA level or equivalent, and will get in the range £21,359 to 25,000 pa

The successful candidates will be expected to supervise a range of projects according to skills and experience.  They should have demonstrable experience of successfully supervising projects and be flexible, driven and innovative, with excellent communication skills. Applications are welcome from ambitious individuals who wish to develop their career rapidly. Support will be provided to the successful applicant in the form of training and mentoring from the experienced management team at Rubicon.
For Team Leader posts, potential candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
·         Appropriate experience of leading and participating in the archaeological fieldwork and reporting
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·         Varied archaeological experience (rural and urban)
·         Good knowledge of British archaeology
·         Good knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks
·         Understanding of commercial archaeology and client liaison
·         Knowledge of Health & Safety considerations pertaining to archaeology
·         Willingness to contribute to the continued growth and expansion of Rubicon Heritage UK
·         Complete flexibility with regard to travel
A full clean driving licence and current CSCS card are essential. SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications (or similar) will be advantageous. CIFA membership welcomed.


Appointments made on the basis of demonstrated ability, previous experience and CIfA membership as appropriate.
Archaeologists should be PCIfA level or equivalent, and will get in the range £18,337 to £20,500 pa

We are looking for individuals to carry out archaeological fieldwork with at least three months UK or Irish commercial archaeology experience, although relevant European commercial experience will also be considered.  Applicants should be able to work well as part of a team and have a flexible approach to what is often a dynamic working environment. CSCS card preferred.
Committed to training and CPD for all our staff across the company, we have recently adopted the BAJR Skills Passport to help develop and document our team’s fieldwork skills and a completed training log from this or a similar scheme will be advantageous.
