The Role(s)

MOLA recently opened a new office in Basingstoke and due to significant project wins we are looking to recruit suitably qualified archaeologists to be based from this office. We are particularly keen to hear from people with full driving licenses, experience of rural archaeology, GPS survey and/or geophysics.

This is an opportunity to join an expanding office from the start. Initial contracts will be until 31st December 2017 but for the right candidates, permanent contracts are on offer subject to successful completion of a probationary period.

We are also looking to recruit archaeologists to join the London team. Project work will be based in London and the surrounding counties. Away work should be considered a normal part of this role. The contracts will be fixed term for 3 to 4 months, though an extension is likely (see the information below).

Applicants should ideally have at least three months UK commercial archaeology experience. Relevant European commercial experience will also be considered and we welcome applications from EU Citizens. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to work well within large teams and have a flexible approach to deployment. CSCS card holders are preferred however, we can arrange and pay for the test if necessary. Please note: the CSCS test stations are exclusively located in the UK.

Although these offers are for a fixed term, staff may have the opportunity to transfer to an alternative large-scale infrastructure projects in London/SE or Midlands once this contract ceases. This opportunity will only be available subject to successful completion of the probationary period.
