 Foundations Archaeology is an independent commercial unit based in Swindon, which operates nation-wide. It is a well-established company, which has been trading for over 20 years. Due to a successful year there is currently a need for additional members of staff. The work will be based out of the Swindon office, but will involve stay-away projects across the UK, as required.
 
We currently have several long-running projects in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, which include a Prehistoric barrow cemetery and a multi-period excavation ranging from Bronze Age through to late Medieval.

Position: Archaeologist
Financial: £18,000 - £21,000 (dependent upon experience)
Timescale: Permanent after the successful completion of a 3 month Probation Period
Skills required:
  • Full UK driving licence, clean.
  • Minimum 6 months experience of fieldwork.
  • CSCS certified.
  • Membership of CIfA desirable.
  • Minimum PCIfA or equivalent
Personal Skills:
Enthusiastic, ethical, hard-working and flexible, as well as being able to use initiative. The successful candidate will be required to work effectively as a team player as well as independently and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
