Magnitude Surveys Ltd is a social enterprise and an independent provider of archaeological geophysics to the commercial, research and public outreach sectors.

We specialise in tailoring geophysical surveys to meet both the client and project’s specific requirements. To meet these requirements, we design and manufacture our own cutting-edge geophysical systems and software in house.

Based between Bradford & Leeds we are ideally situated for access to motorway, rail and air travel. Bradford has an abundance of economical rental properties, including a number of recent mill conversions. The Yorkshire dales and the Lake District national parks are within short train rides, as is the major metropolitan city of Manchester and the historic city of York.

The Position
Magnitude Surveys is seeking to promptly recruit an experienced archaeological project officer to help the company meet increasing workloads. Magnitude Surveys is seeking a driven, self-motivated individual who is looking to expand their technical skills and creative abilities in an expanding company. • Management of projects and field teams from the office
  • Liaising with clients and landowners
  • Conducting archaeological geophysical surveys throughout the UK
  • Data analysis, interpretation and report writing.

Benefits
Travel to site, accommodation and subsistence is paid for while away from the office. Full PPE will be provided, including Gore-Tex or equivalent waterproofs and safety boots.

Magnitude Surveys encourages and supports its staff’s professional development by funding conference attendance and presentation, as well as training workshops. CIfA membership and a current CSCS card are desirable, but not essential. Magnitude Surveys will support the successful candidate in obtaining both CIfA membership and a CSCS card if they do not have one.

The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled into the NEST workplace pension scheme with matched employer contributions of up to 6%. Magnitude Surveys offers 28 days holiday including bank holidays, in addition to any company shutdown days.
