Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager – Developer Services
Project Manager £33,000 to £36,158 per annum (Salary dependent on experience)
Assistant Project Manager £28,613 to £30,439 per annum (Salary dependent on experience)
The Developer Services department is a core commercial function at MOLA with responsibility for delivering field-based services to help clients discharge planning conditions. The department includes project managers, field staff, geoarchaeology, built heritage and the finds processing team.
We now seek to add to our existing project management team by appointing an enthusiastic Project Manager to help manage our increasing portfolio of work, and in particular for large scale infrastructure projects. We will also consider appointing a suitably experienced Assistant Project Manager with the potential for development into a Project Manager.
The role of Project Manager will primarily be responsible for leading on the successful completion of archaeological projects by working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and Senior Project Managers. The ideal candidate will already be experienced in delivering large scale projects, preferably within construction or other multi-disciplinary consultancy, and they will use this experience to support MOLA manage the execution of its projects as well as procuring and winning new profitable business. A commercial outlook, adaptability in work approach and natural problem solving skills will be essential to being a success in the role.
If appointed as an Assistant Project Manager, key activities will be to support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in delivering larger projects and managing your own less complex projects. Daily duties will include writing project designs and method statements, organising, costing, forming project teams and maintaining project and financial systems. The ideal person already be working in a project supervisory capacity and they will be confident in liaising with others, have excellent IT skills and demonstrate a commitment to developing their career within project management.
A full clean driving licence is essential for both roles as regular travel is required to sites across London, the southeast and the midlands.
