Archaeology Warwickshire is a dynamic provider of a wide range of commercial heritage services. With over 30 years in the archaeology business, our reputation for proficient, client-focussed, project delivery continues to exact a high demand for our services.

We are looking for an additional project officer to join our highly experienced team to lead on a wide range of field projects and produce client and publication reports to the appropriate CIfA standards.

The successful candidate will have experience in a wide range of British archaeology and a portfolio of completed reports, although less accomplished but highly motivated candidates will also be considered.

You will work from our base in Warwick/Leamington Spa, which has excellent transport links, and because your work life balance is important to us, fieldwork will mostly be within one hour of the office and home working will be available when you need it.

We will provide training in GIS, GPS, SSSTS, Risk Assessment, First Aid, and CAT & Genny operation should you need it, and, because we actively encourage the development of specialisms within the team, we will provide additional CPD led training, including conference fees, travel and accommodation.

We are a CIfA Registered Organisation and as a Warwickshire County Council trading group can offer:

  • 32 days holiday (including bank holidays) rising to 37 after 4 years),
  • flexible working which includes flexitime of up to 12 hours per month,
  • additional pay for working late and travelling,
  • Local Government Pension Scheme,
  • access to cycle scheme,
  • childcare vouchers,
  • A range of staff discounts,
  • 100% CIfA fees and conference costs paid
Applicants must have a driving licence. Desirable attributes include CIfA membership, SSSTS accreditation and First Aid qualifications.
