Archaeologist, Archive (Maternity Cover)
The appointment is full time and will be on UCL Grade 5. The salary range will be £20,624 - £23,879 per annum, exclusive of London Allowance.
Archaeology South-East the contracts division of the UCL Centre of Applied Archaeology (a research centre within the UCL Institute of Archaeology) is looking to appoint an experienced Archive Archaeologist for maternity cover on a fixed term contract lasting 12 months in the first instance.
This post is part-time, 0.5 FTE at 18.25 hours per week.
The post will be based at our office in Portslade, East Sussex and will be a member of the wider in-house Post-Excavation team, which comprises processors and specialists working on a wide range of artefactual and environmental material.
The post holder will be expected to compile, check and prepare project archives for deposition with repository. They will also be expected to liaise with the Archive Officer based in the Sussex office in regard to work programme, standards and procedures.
Applicants will have a degree in archaeology (or closely related topic). Membership of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) at Practitioner (PCIfA) or Affiliate level is desirable.
