Applications are invited for a professional, highly motivated and capable historic building specialist with an excellent track record in undertaking historic building surveys. Dependant on experience the successful applicant will be employed at our Assistant Project Officer or Project Officer grade.
You will be required to produce high quality reports for commercial and commissioned projects. You will need to demonstrate at least one year’s professional commercial experience in undertaking all such work. You will have responsibility for undertaking and delivering a wide range of projects working from either our Bakewell or Newcastle Office where you will be accountable to the General Manager. You will need to have excellent written English skills and will be responsible for completing historic building assessments on commercial and research-based archaeological projects. You must also have excellent IT skills and ideally be competent in CAD and/or GIS. A good knowledge of British archaeology and architectural history is required as well as a track record in reports and publication. You must be able to work as an effective team member who can be relied on to deliver to tight deadlines.
The post is tenable from 1st January 2018, and subject to successful completion of a 6 month probationary period, will become a permanent position thereafter.
