The appointment will be on UCL Grade 6. The salary range will be £24,983 - £29,799 per annum, exclusive of London Allowance.
Operating out of offices in East Sussex, Essex and London Archaeology South-East (the Field Unit of the Institute of Archaeology, UCL) requires staff to work on excavations in southern England. This post is based in the Archaeology South-East office in Witham, Essex.
The main purpose of the post is to undertake and supervise programmes of archaeological research, or to provide specialist services in support of such research.
This post is open-ended.
Applicants should have a good working knowledge of British archaeology of all periods and a comprehensive knowledge of field practice. Candidates will need to co-ordinate and supervise field operations and/or specialist research to satisfy a project brief / specification in an efficient and cost-effective manner, and prepare logical, coherent and comprehensive reports on the basis of their analysis of complex field data.
