PCA Newark is the PCA office that serves the East Midlands. We are now seeking a new Manager to take on this successful and established office and to continue to build on solid foundations to enhance the work and reputation of PCA in the East Midlands and beyond.
The successful candidate should have a track record that includes managing an archaeological organisation or regional office, have several years’ experience in managing archaeological projects within the commercial archaeological sector, of managing a team of archaeological staff, and a demonstrable track record of project delivery. In addition, the successful candidate will be experienced in tendering for a variety of project types, in the preparation of Project Designs/Written Schemes of Investigation and in project budgeting, and be computer literate. Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and experience of preparation of Health and Safety documentation relevant to archaeological projects is also essential. In addition the successful candidate will be familiar with current planning regulations as they apply to archaeology in the east and central regions of England. The successful candidate will be expected to have a degree in archaeology or allied subject.
The post will be based at our premises near Newark, Nottinghamshire. A full UK Driving Licence is essential, and membership of the CIfA is desirable. The successful candidate should be in possession of a current CSCS card and possession of SMSTS, NEBOSH or similar relevant professional qualification would be desirable. Training, as appropriate, will be provided.
- Competitive salary range; (£36,000 - £41,000) appointments will be made on the basis of demonstrated ability, previous experience and CIfA membership if appropriate.
