URBAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL DATABASE PROJECT OFFICER (37 hours)
Grade 6: £21,693 - £23,866
Fixed Term until 31 March 2020 due to funding.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced archaeologist to develop an Urban Archaeological Database and associated 3D deposit model for Hull Old Town, a unique chance to enhance our understanding of the archaeology of a City of Culture.
We are looking for someone to deliver an Historic England funded project to enable the rich medieval deposits to be better understood, recorded and interpreted. Hull was the second most bombed city after London during WWII, the project will also map the extent of this damage across the project area.
You will be responsible for developing the deposit model, therefore experience of this work would be beneficial. The project will commence September 2018 and run until March 2020. This is a fixed term post.
The Humber HER is responsible for recording the heritage assets of Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Councils. You will be working with skilled, dedicated and supportive colleagues; and there will be chance to take advantage of our excellent personal development and flexible working opportunities.
For informal discussions regarding the vacancy please contact Lucie McCarthy on (01482) 612940
Closing Date: 8 July 2018
