Pre-Construct Archaeology Limited is a provider of archaeological and heritage services across the UK. It is one of the largest and fastest growing commercial heritage practices and operates from seven offices. It is also a partner within COPA, a vehicle for delivering infrastructure projects across the UK. Pre-Construct Archaeology is a CIFA Registered Organisation (23), and has various other professional accreditations.
Due to an ever-expanding folio of projects across the North East Pre-Construct-Archaeology Ltd is seeking to appoint an experienced Supervisor for the Durham Office.
The successful applicant will have:
The applicant will be expected to work independently and as part of a larger team, to execute project requirements, to assist the Regional Office Manager and Project Manager as required, and to liaise with internal and external specialists as required. They will also be expected to liaise with clients and representatives of local planning authorities. They will have good personal and communication skills, be enthusiastic and capable of enthusing their fieldwork and project teams.
- Previous experience and a successful track record in supervising a variety of commercial archaeological fieldwork projects in the UK (essential);
- Prepared grey literature reports, preferably including Assessment reports (essential);
- Ideally have published the results of their or others' fieldwork in recognised British archaeological publications.
The applicants must have a full UK driving licence and be CSCS certificated.
The post is based in the North East of England, but the applicant may be required to work in other regions as required. Initially this position is offered as a 6 month contract with a view to making it permanent.
