Archaeological Solutions are an independent commercial organisation based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, and we undertake a substantial range of field projects throughout East Anglia.  We currently have an opportunity for an Archaeological Field Supervisor to join us on a permanent basis.

Our ideal candidate will have least 2 years recent and continuous experience of commercial archaeology within the UK and a proven track record of leading a team and achieving results.  Excellent communication skills and a team approach along with the ability to motivate others and see tasks through to completion are essential.  This post will also involve liaising with local planning archaeologists and writing of reports.

In return, we offer an excellent mentoring programme with a structured method of recording CPD to benefit individuals and enhance career development.  Trainee positions are also available and we would also be keen to hear from experienced candidates with a good working knowledge of British Archaeology who are looking to take the next step in their career.

Trainee candidates should have a minimum of 6 months commercial archaeology field experience.

A full clean driving license is essential, as is the CSCS qualification although we can offer guidance to obtain this.  Membership of CIfA is highly desirable.

Benefits include an annual leave entitlement of 29 days (including bank holidays), PPE and 6% pension contribution.

To register your interest for this and future opportunities, please email your CV including details of two referees to info@ascontracts.co.uk  We would encourage you to include a brief covering paragraph to highlight your key skills, personal interests and suitability for the role.

AS is an Equal Opportunities Employer and a recognised Investor in People.  We are registered with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists and hold accreditations for ISO9001 and 14001.  See www.archaeologicalsolutions.co.uk, and Facebook: Archaeological Solutions.
