Due to an expanding workload we require a pool of dedicated and professional archaeologists to cover various project work. We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced self-employed archaeological site assistants as a Labour Only Sub Contractors for our Call-out Register.

Candidates should ideally have demonstrable experience of field archaeology practice. Experienced Field Archaeologists would be expected to provide their own basic site kit and PPE, along with a valid CSCS Card, a full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential. CIfA Membership is desirable at PCIfA level. Project work on a temporary contract basis at a negotiable rate (to include your day rate and expenses). We currently have contracts running and more expected in the near future.

Proof of self employed status will be required as UTR and requisite Tax and National Insurance must be the responsibility of the self-employed archaeologist.
If applicants have not been self employed before, we can help to guide you through the process and lack of self employed status will not preclude an applicant from making an immediate start on site.
