WHO ARE WE?
Network Archaeology has just celebrated its 22nd birthday. We have evolved over the years and continue to encompass the modern values and ethics of our profession, and have a great employment vision. We work on major infrastructure projects across the UK and the rest of Europe.
ARE YOU OUR NEW ILLUSTRATIONS TEAM MEMBER?
You are an experienced illustrator who has, or is looking to develop, archaeological skills. Or you already have a set of skills that complement archaeological illustration, perhaps including some of the following:
- Report writing
- Graphic design
Maybe you have used Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw or illustrated artefacts before, but for the right candidate this isn’t essential. Training will be provided. You do however have an understanding of what archaeological illustrations are and their importance in portraying the results of archaeological interventions.
- Initial 12-month contract
- Full-time or Part-time - either way we can be flexible around you.
- Based in Lincoln - the office is centrally located in the beautiful historic city.
- Training opportunities - we’ll help you fast track if you’re a recent grad. Or tailor training to elevate you, whatever your level..
- Friendly, supportive and employee-focused company - we don’t forget you are a human-being behind the drawing board.
£19,363.76 - £24,149.42 (depending on experience)
As an Illustrations Team member, you will work on a variety of archaeological projects, as well as anticipating and responding to the day-to-day illustrations needs of the company as delegated by the Graphics Manager. Duties would include preparation of high quality illustrations for client reports and publication using a variety of computer programs along with traditional pencil and ink drawings. You will expect to be mostly office-based, but depending on your other skills could find yourself on field projects. An emphasis is placed on completing tasks on time and within budget. Your work will be methodical and to a high standard. You take the initiative, and communicate effectively with team members. You can work within a team structure.
Full membership of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA) is desirable.
Please email CV, brief covering letter and examples of your work to: Michelle Pilgrim at email@example.com
The closing date for applications is Friday 31st August 2018. Interviews are currently planned for September 2018. We respond to all received applications.
