Hertfordshire County Council is a leading local authority with a highly regarded Natural, Historic and Built Environment Advisory Service. This is your chance to be part of a busy, professional team which provides high quality historic environment information, interpretation and advice to a range of customers and stakeholders. You will be responsible for maintaining the Hertfordshire Historic Environment Record to the highest professional standards and using it to provide information and advice to customers and colleagues.
The role requires someone who has:
*Recognised relevant post graduate diploma, masters or honours degree or equivalent relevant experience
*Excellent ICT skills, including Microsoft applications, G.I.S. and EXEGESIS Historic Buildings, Sites and Monuments Records database (HBSMR)
*Good working knowledge of British archaeology and awareness of relevant national policy and legislation relating to the historic environment
*Knowledge and understanding of the statutory responsibilities of other public and private sector organisations
