Wardell Armstrong LLP seek to recruit an experienced Project Officer to join their team. The post will involve taking a senior role on varied archaeological projects across the UK as well as undertaking post-excavation project work based at the company offices.   This post is being offered on a casual basis - therefore no additional benefits.
 

The successful candidate will have significant previous experience of executing archaeological fieldwork, and be confident in supervising a team of archaeologists, as well as having proven report-writing ability and post-excavation skills.

The position is full-time based initially at the company offices in Carlisle, Cumbria. Wardell Armstrong LLP is a multi-disciplinary international consultancy. The applicant will have:

  • A degree in archaeology or a related discipline
  • A full driving licence
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • be fluent in spoken and written English
  • be fluent in spoken and written English
  • A current CSCS card
  • A First Aid certificate would be advantageous.
  • Awareness of health and safety legislation and its application to archaeological projects
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists at either Member or Associate level preferred.
