About the role
In this role you will provide the School with technical support in either Geomatics, Geophysics or materials-based research and teaching , you will also provide support to the annual field school. You will maintain key equipment, as well as providing the management and curation of teaching and research materials. This role also involves some key health and safety responsibilities. You will provide teaching support to students and staff through laboratory demonstration and training in the use of field equipment.

Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent in a relevant subject, you will have a good technical knowledge of both archaeological and laboratory practices. Relevant experience as an archaeological or laboratory technician is desirable. We are looking for a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative. You will be able to work flexibly and have a positive approach to your work.
