ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE ASSISTANTS
Permanent – Bury St Edmunds
(Salary £19,162 per annum)
 
Archaeological Solutions are an independent commercial organisation based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and undertake a substantial range of field projects throughout East Anglia.  We currently have an opportunity for Archaeological Site Assistants to join our core team in January 2019 on a permanent basis.  
 
Our ideal candidates will have gained some previous fieldwork experience within commercial archaeology however consideration will also be given to those just starting out in their career.
 
Demonstrable fieldwork and communication skills are important, as is an all hands on deck approach when it comes to working as part of the team.  Stamina, determination and the ability to see tasks through to a timely completion and working to deadlines will be essential in this role.  We will be keen to develop individuals as part of our Investor in People certification, and offer an excellent training programme with a structured method of recording training and experience so as to enhance career development. 
 
A valid CSCS card is essential although we can provide advice on obtaining a card, and a full clean driving license will be preferred.  At times projects may be based away from the office but a nightly subsistence will be paid in addition to providing accommodation and travel.     
 
Benefits will include an annual leave entitlement of 29 days (including bank holidays), 6% pension contribution and PPE.
