The Environmental Dimension Partnership Ltd (EDP) is a highly regarded and successful multi-disciplinary environmental planning consultancy, with a team of nearly 120 employees undertaking projects across the country from our offices in Cardiff, Cirencester, Shrewsbury and Cheltenham.
The Archaeology and Heritage Team now comprises 11 consultants across the four offices, with an interesting, diverse and challenging portfolio of active projects throughout England and Wales covering the full breadth of the historic environment.
In its four years, EDP Cardiff has become a market leader in the identification, assessment and resolution of heritage issues through the planning process in Wales, with a broad diversity of clients and projects focused on developmental impacts involving listed buildings, conservation areas and scheduled monuments, particularly in respect of ‘setting’.
As a result of recent growth, and the expectation of continued growth in 2019 and beyond, we are now looking to make a new appointment to the Team in our Cardiff Office.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an established track record in heritage consultancy, preferably operating to senior level already. They will provide technical project support to the wider EDP Archaeology and Heritage team and bring significant experience to the business across a range of project types and scales, particularly in the fields of standing building assessment and/or heritage conservation.
Ideally, you will have experience of multi-disciplinary projects, but more importantly be enthusiastic regarding the opportunities to work with our clients, other Project Managers and members of the EDP Team. However, most of all, you will provide solution-focused and pragmatic advice to our clients on a wide variety of projects involving the historic environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their professional skills, project management and technical ability by working within the wider EDP team, including opportunities to engage in the delivery of projects covering a range of issues, such as landscape assessment and design, ecology, masterplanning and arboriculture.
You will have a sound professional reputation and be conscious of the need to develop a diverse network of contacts; showing energy, enthusiasm and excellent client care skills to advance your professional reputation and create your own portfolio of projects.
The successful candidate will be positive, proactive, client focussed, and be committed to maintaining their expertise through internal and external training and research. They will ideally be at least an Associate member of the CIfA or a full member of the IHBC already (or will be able to aquire this grade)
We offer a very competitive benefits package, which includes: pension; private health insurance; life assurance; free lunch; 30 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays; and a profit share bonus scheme.
