Pre-Construct Archaeology Limited (PCA) is one of the UK’s largest providers of professional archaeological services and advice. We provide services across the country.
PCA is seeking expressions of interest from field archaeologists who would like to work for the company’s offices at London (head office), Cambridge, Durham, Winchester and Newark.
Primarily the forthcoming work would be for sites in the London area, East Anglia and the southeast, but there may be upcoming opportunities for work in all the above offices.
We are looking for expressions of interest, via CV applications, from candidates who possess the following:
· At least three months experience in commercial archaeology
· Valid CSCS cards
· CIfA membership
· Clean driving license
· First-aid training
For sites outside of Greater London, accommodation may be available on a site-specific basis (e.g. remote sites where returning home daily would be complex). Where possible, we would prefer local staff, but all applications of interest are welcome.
Subsistence will be paid on specific sites when over-night stays away from home for work is required.
If you are interested in being considered please send your current CV by email only to: email@example.com. Please ensure that you stipulate which region you are able to work in, or able to relocate to.
Expressions of interest are continually invited, and applicants may be offered work on an ‘as-received’ basis reflecting our current demand.
Please be advised that we may not be able to reply to every email, and we will not confirm receipt of applications. In accordance with GDPR policy, we will not keep unsuccessful applicants’ details or CV’s on our system, unless you expressly request that we do.
Non-trainee field archaeologists can expect pay (dependent upon experience) within the following bands:
PCA London = £442.65 to £463.11 pw (£23,017.80 to £24,081.25 pa)
Other offices = £373.70 to £400.81 pw (£19,432.40 to £20,842.20 pa)
PCA is committed to a comprehensive equal opportunities policy in which individuals are selected and treated on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities without regard to race, religion or belief, colour, sex, age, national origin, disability or sexual orientation. All applicants with the relevant qualifications and experience are welcome to apply for this exciting opportunity.
