Project Officer (Adopt-a-Monument & Attainment through Archaeology)
Full-Time, Fixed Term (till 31st March 2020) £24,000 per annum
Celebrating its 75th Year, Archaeology Scotland is a Scotland-wide charity which works to secure the archaeological heritage of Scotland for its people through education, promotion and support. Due to several successful funding applications, Archaeology Scotland is now seeking short-term assistance to assist the delivery of our two community archaeology initiatives Adopt-a-Monument and Attainment through Archaeology.
This is a great opportunity for the post holder to develop a career in community archaeology and gain valuable experience with cross-sectoral working. The primary role of this Project Officer will be to support the Project Managers to actively deliver project support to both initiatives. The Project Officer will work with community groups to conserve and interpret historical and archaeological sites and support volunteers to develop new skills and experience. The successful post-holder will be working with a wide variety of audiences and as such will need exceptional communication skills.
