We are recruiting archaeologists of all levels to work on several exciting excavations around the eastern region. We are offering 6 to 12 month contracts from our East of England office involving largely ‘home’ work but some ‘away’ work maybe required.

L - P : Archaeology are a Registered Organisation of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) and as such comply with their minima for annual leave, sick leave and pension. Subsistence, accommodation and travel expenses will be provided for any ‘away’ work. L - P :Archaeology also offer staff additional benefits such as PPE allowance and eye tests.

Due to the varied nature of the work on offer, we will be reviewing applications on an on-going basis upon receipt.

Grade 1 - £19,700
Grade 2 - £20,800
Grade 3 - £22,900
Grade 4 - £25,150
Grade 5 - £27,000

Our ideal candidates will have relevant experience working in the industry and who will be adept at multi-context recording but single-context recording experience would be an advantage. Most importantly candidates will have a strong work ethic, and have a positive attitude towards efficiency and effectiveness.

A CSCS card and membership of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists is desired but not mandatory. L - P : Archaeology will assist the successful candidate in obtaining both. A driver’s licence is preferable, but is also not mandatory. Travel to and from sites will be included where applicable.
