Project Managers
Permanent positions following 6 month probation
Salary £29,000 - £36,000+ (dependant on experience)

The Position:

Are you a highly motivated, go-getter with an ability to oversee multiple projects, people and plan ahead? Do you have a deep passion for delivering value and benefit through archaeology? Are you an exceptional communicator, highly organised, efficient and with a high work-rate? This position is for key members of our Management Team to help take the Company forward and requires you to be excellent at your job and an effective leader and motivator. You need to be highly disciplined, a good ‘people person’ as well as a competent archaeologist and report writer and editor. The post is nominally based at Bakewell but could be based elsewhere. We have positions available for an immediate start.

Applications are invited for a professional, highly motivated and capable Projects Manager. You will ideally have experience of running a wide range of projects, motivating and leading teams, planning staff allocations to jobs, co-ordinating post-excavation work, negotiating with local authority archaeologists, producing risk assessments, quality assurance and report checking. You will have responsibility for delivering a wide range of projects and will be accountable to the Head of Field Investigations. You will be responsible for completing work on commercial and research-based archaeological projects on time and to budget and for getting invoices issued promptly. A good knowledge of British Archaeology is essential and ideally a track record in reports, editing and perhaps publication.

Project Officers

You will have excellent written English skills and will be responsible for completing work on commercial and research-based archaeological projects. You must also have strong survey and IT skills and ideally be competent in the use of CAD. A good knowledge of British archaeology is essential as well as a track record in reports and ideally publication. You must be able to work as an effective team member who can be relied on to deliver to tight deadlines. Assistant Project Officers / Archaeological Officers
Positions available on both permanent and short-term contracts.
Assistant Project Officer £20,000- £23,000.
Archaeological Officer £19,200

The Position:
Archaeological Research Services Ltd are recruiting Assistant Project Officers and Archaeological Officers for work on a variety of project work around the UK. We have positions available for an immediate start.
 
You will be required to have good team-working ability, enthusiasm and drive to complete tasks and contribute to the operational success of the project. You will have experience of taking part in field projects, contributing to post-excavation work, a sound knowledge of UK archaeology and the ability to write accurate, clear English. You will have responsibility for undertaking and delivering a wide range of projects where you will be accountable to the Projects Manager. You will have excellent written English skills and will be responsible for completing work on commercial and research-based archaeological projects. You must also have survey and IT skills and ideally be competent in the use of CAD. You must be committed to our health and safety culture and positively contribute to Company initiatives. For the Archaeological Officer posts experience gained through voluntary work will also be acceptable.
