Archaeologist – Birmingham

Permanent, Full time (part time applications will be considered)

We are looking for field archaeologists for our growing Birmingham Team to support the delivery of our current and upcoming projects . Ideally, we are looking for archaeologists with 6 months of site experience in a commercial archaeology environment, but we will also consider Graduates and applicants with equivalent alternative experience and or qualifications.
You will work as part of a wider team, and you could be based on smaller short duration sites, or on larger scale excavations. The work will include working on evaluation, excavation, and occasionally other fieldwork such as geophysics if you have experience or are willing to learn. You should understand paper-based field recording systems and some experience with digital recording systems would be desirable but not essential.
We have a range of projects in our pipeline of work in the coming months, which include both local/regional jobs and those which require working away, for which we offer generous terms as outlined below.
 
The successful candidate should have:
  • Some practical experience of working on archaeological sites.
  • A degree in archaeology (combined honours is acceptable) or equivalent experience.
  • White CSCS card (either AQP or PQP).
  • Driving license.
Desirable:
  • CIfA membership at PCIfA level.
