Freelance and Desk Based fieldwork archaeologists required

Important Note:

During the COVID-19 outbreak most of our site work has been postponed which will mean that when the current restrictions are over there will be a large amount of fieldwork to complete. Touchstone Archaeology is committed to following the guidelines laid down by PROSPECT, CIfA and FAME and where fieldwork is continuing we are working closely with Historic England and our other clients to assess the risks and ensure the safety of anyone on site.

Due to expanding business we are putting together a pool of dedicated and professional archaeologists to cover various fieldwork projects throughout Greater London and the home counties.

The works will cover all elements of fieldwork and the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of field archaeology in a commercial setting and will be expected to provide their own basic site kit, PPE and valid CSCS card. CIfA membership would be beneficial.

We are also seeking archaeologists who prefer database work, report writing, Desk Based Assessments, Heritage Statements and Building Recordings.

Please send an e-mail with the subject 'Freelance Archaeologist' to zoe@touchstonearchaeology.com with details of your experience, payment rates/expenses and area/period of specialty or personal interest.

Employment status will comply with HMRC regulations.
