ADAS is seeking a SeniorArchaeology Consultant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid home and office based,applicants must be flexible and prepared to travel to client sites across the UK, predominately in the South of England.
You will be joining our successful Archaeology and Historic Building business, a highly skilled team focused on providing historic environment advice and consultancy throughout the planning process from pre-land acquisition to the discharge of planning conditions.
This position would suit an ambitious and experienced archaeologist, or heritage consultant who is looking to advance their career in business development and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out archaeological and cultural heritage desk studies, consultations, research, data management and analysis and report writing, liaising with client and statutory bodies as necessary
Producing WSIs, carrying out archaeological watching briefs and producing fieldwork reports for small-scale projects
Carrying out and supporting sales activities
Working with the team leader on sales initiatives to develop business with existing clients and to grow the archaeology business with new clients
Leading trial trenching evaluation and small-scale excavations
Quality checking the reports
Training and mentoring junior colleagues
Person Specification:
A full driving licence will be required as will the need for flexible working with regard to type of work, timing and location Occasional weekend working may be required, which will be agreed in advance
A working knowledge of ArchGIS is desirable
Previous professional experience working in an archaeological fieldwork or heritage consultancy role
A valid CSCS card
Demonstrable experience of writing high quality technical reports, for example desk-based assessments, archaeological fieldwork reports, for archaeological fieldwork and/or heritage consultancy projects is desirable
Practitioner Level of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (PCIfA)
ACIFA or MCIfA Level of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists
