 £27,000 to £33,000 plus bonuses (depending on experience)


Our Company

Phoenix Consulting Archaeology Ltd are an established and progressive practice now in their 27th year of operation.  We operate throughout the UK providing advice and services to the minerals and construction industry. We are a small, but successful company with an excellent and established client base.

The Position

Due to expansion, Phoenix Consulting Archaeology Ltd are looking to employ a Post-Excavation Officer. We are seeking an experienced individual who has a proven track record in the preparation of desk-based assessments, heritage statements and writing up of small to medium archaeological investigations to publishable standards. 

You should have skills in the assessment, analysis and synthesis of archaeological and heritage data, leading to the preparation in a timely fashion of succinct and intelligible reporting. An understanding of British archaeology is essential, whilst additional knowledge of a particular period would be advantageous.
The post would be based at our central Bedford office, but we are flexible with regard to home-based and even part-time working if the right individual presented themselves.

Additional Requirements

A current UK driving licence is required. A degree in Archaeology or similar subject and membership of the CIfA is desirable.
