1 : How much does it cost? 

Simple answer to that is; £80 per single advert. This helps to cover the vast number of additional free services on BAJR, from Education, Guides and a massive updated database of archaeology to cutting edge technology which will be shared for free... We even produce a web based radio program once a week. ... Add to that an audience of over 4000 people per day!! and that is surely worth it. You can pay either by sending a cheque made payable to BAJR or British Archaeological Jobs Resource sent to BAJR, Traprain House, Luggate Burn, East Lothian, EH41 4QA

2 : What do the Levels mean?

BAJR has decided to implement a simple system (based on Local Govt Levels to create a Level of payment based upon Duties :: The weekly rate is based on a calculation based on 37.5 hours work per 5 day week with no additional non statuatory holiday pay entitlement, pension rights or sickness leave entitlement)

3: How often do you update your pages?

Simple answer to that is daily - (though it can be up to 3 days - as sometimes I am travelling abroad and need time to get to a computer!!) However I am now able to update from anywhere in the world .. which is just as well...... ah Blue Sky Archaeology.

4: Do you have any responsibility for the jobs you advertise?

BAJR does try to keep an eye on what is going on... it is quite often like the proverbial swan with a gentle glide on the surface and a frantic paddling beneath. I am grateful to the companies that advertise through BAJR for their support and help in maintaining a standard.

The jobs you never see are ones that pay beneath the BAJR set pay levels or have conditions that are not in keeping with the IFA Codes and Conducts that BAJR not only recommends as a standard, but upholds as a supporter of the IFA. If you have a problem with either a company that advertises (they are in breach of H&S or Pay Levels or Employment Entitlements) then please get in touch and we can try to negotiate an amicable solution. The same is true for a company with a problem staff member.
