Hours: Full time, 37.5h/week Locations: North East, Yorkshire and Humberside Contract Type: Fixed-term contract with a potential for extension Closing Date: 5pm on 31 January 2021. NAA is currently seeking archaeologists at a Project Archaeologist level to start work in January and February 2021. Staff are currently required for sites in the Yorkshire, Humberside, and North East region to assist in the excavation of a range of rural Prehistoric, Roman and Industrial sites. We are looking for professional, self-motivated individuals, keen to progress a career in archaeology with the capability to work independently within a team under the instruction and supervision of an experienced Supervisor or Project Officer. We have full and specific COVID-19 Safety plans in operation across all sites. Successful candidates will be offered a 37.5-hour working week, fixed-term assignment. Overtime will be paid if the job requires it. Accommodation close to the site will be provided on ‘away’ jobs. A CSCS card is an essential requirement for all candidates. A minimum of 3-months fieldwork experience is preferred, but all applications will be considered positively. About You Your core skills and experience should include manual excavation and recording of archaeological features, and the recovery of artefacts or samples. You should also be able to complete stratigraphic matrices, photograph archaeological features and sites, and compose accurate measured drawings. - Motivated, professional archaeologist who is interested in developing their career with a company with high professional standards of work;
- Minimum of three months experience preferred.
