SUMO Geophysics Ltd (Archaeology and Engineering) is one of the largest and most experienced group of archaeological geophysicists in the UK, with over 50 years of combined experience. We are looking to further expand our teams in the Midlands (Worcestershire) and invite candidates with varying levels of experience to join this multi-disciplined Group. In addition to Archaeological and Engineering Geophysics, SUMO also specialises in Utility Detection, Topographic Surveys, Measured Building Surveys, Laser Scanning and Aerial Surveys.
Start date: ASAP (hence early applications welcomed)
Qualifications Preferred: Degree in Archaeology, Archaeological Sciences or related subject. An MSc in Archaeological Prospection, or similar, would be advantageous for the Experienced positions. Full training given. CIfA membership welcomed, as are holders of CSCS cards.
Role: Carrying our geophysical surveys primarily using Bartington and Geoscan instruments, plus Trimble GPS survey equipment.
These are field positions. All posts require a willingness to work outdoors in all weathers, in small teams staying away from home throughout the UK. We operate fully inder COVID best practice.
