Archaeology South-East / University College London
Initial three month contracts
Assistant Archaeologists (Grade 4 – spine points 13-14)

£21,135 - £21686 per annum, exclusive of London Allowance.

Archaeology South-East (the 'Field Unit' of the Institute of Archaeology, UCL) require additional short term contract staff for projects running from our offices in Witham, Essex and Portslade, East Sussex with some of this project work also taking place in London. There are opportunities for immediate starts initial length of contract will be approximately three months with good prospects of contract extensions as work progresses according to our ongoing project needs.
Archaeology South-East offers the following employee benefits:

  • 27 days annual leave (plus 8 days Bank Holidays and 9 University closure days)
  • Paid travel time where applicable
  • B&B or self-catering accommodation for any staff on jobs requiring stay-away. Also subsistence payments of £15 per night
  • University pension scheme available
