Operating from Four Offices; Salisbury, Rochester, Sheffield and Edinburgh, Wessex Archaeology provides the full range of land-based, coastal and marine/maritime archaeological and conservation services; including consultancy advice, geophysical surveys, risk assessments, desk based assessment studies, environmental statements, conservation and management plans, field assessment, evaluation and excavation, analysis and publication, historic building recording, historic landscape assessment characterisation, artefact and environmental analyses, some artefact conservation in-house, graphics, exhibitions and interpretation, IT databases, multimedia applications, project management and community and education services. Scale of projects from 250 to 5 million UKP. Our work is overseas as well as in the UK: we have worked in Cyprus and Gibraltar, for example.
