As leaders in the field of expert led private tours, our insider knowledge promises our clients the unbeatable experience of visiting sites such as Stonehenge, Avebury, Salisbury Cathedral, the Roman Baths and Windsor Castle (and many more), with their very own archaeologist, collecting from London, Salisbury, Bath, Oxford and Southampton Port.

Description

We are looking to add to our pool of freelance expert archaeologist guides, to provide private day tours (between 10-12 hours in length). Our clients are well educated overseas tourists (mainly from the US and Canada), looking to learn in-depth about the sites we visit. We travel in our Mercedes V-Class or Sprinter vehicles with professional drivers. Training/guidance will be provided.

• The skills we are looking for include –
• A Master’s in Archaeology (minimum), although having a PhD would be preferable.
• Strong knowledge on the sites we visit (see website), especially the Stonehenge and Avebury landscapes.
• Excellent English.
• Published research would be preferable.
  Excellent people skills. This job is as much about social skills with our clients, as it is knowledge of the subject.
• Reliability

Freelance position, remuneration by negotiation.
