Phoenix Consulting Archaeology Ltd are an established Company founded in 1997. We operate throughout the UK providing advice and services to the minerals and construction industry. We are a small, but successful company with an excellent and established client base.
The Positions
Phoenix Consulting Archaeology Ltd are seeking expressions of interest from self-employed archaeologists wishing to be considered for fieldwork opportunities in the Midlands and East Anglia. Positions are immediately available for the right candidates.
Staff will likely be involved with the excavation of Prehistoric, Iron Age, Roman and Saxon settlements.
Requirements
The successful candidates should have a minimum of 12 months experience of site work in British commercial archaeology, in the role of an archaeologist, having demonstrable experience of excavation techniques and recording on complex sites. A current UK driving licence and membership of CIfA are desirable.
Work duration is likely to be 3 months, with an option to extend.
Please provide all-inclusive day-rates and provide evidence of self-employed status and also that you meet all current HM Government requirements to work in the UK. You will be responsible for your own Tax and National Insurance. Self-employed rates should be inclusive of all expenses and will be paid weekly.
