About The Role

Join MOLA as an experienced Project Manager and become part of one of the UK’s leading archaeological organisations. Based within our busy London team, you will manage a diverse portfolio of archaeological and Built Heritage work across London and nationally.

This is a varied role covering project delivery, team leadership, client management and business development. You will manage archaeological schemes throughout their lifecycle, from tendering and planning through to fieldwork, post-excavation and completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, to a high standard and within agreed timescales and budgets.

We are looking for Project Managers with a proven track record in the delivery of archaeological projects at management and consultancy level, with experience in London and nationally. Experience of large, complex schemes and infrastructure projects would be particularly welcome.

The role has an important business development element, including preparing and managing tender bids, helping to secure new work and developing client relationships. Strong project management, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential, together with a commercially focused outlook and a sound working knowledge of the National Planning Policy Framework and the planning process.

You will also work with colleagues across MOLA, including Consultancy, Community Engagement and Built Heritage, and contribute to our strategic, research and public benefit objectives.

A driving licence is essential as regular travel is expected within London and regionally.
